Sweet Glasses

Aren't these the sweetest little glasses I found on eBay? I think they're even cuter in person! I broke one of the four while taking a picture of them. How dumb could a person be?? I can't believe it! Now I have three... I left the mess on my counter top and will go back to clean it up in a little bit. I'm cranky at the moment and sad! Have you ever done something so silly??

Those are sweet glasses, Anita! Sorry to hear that you broke one of them...maybe you could use them as votive holders...that's what I usually do when I end up with an odd number of glasses. My one dear friend laughs at me and says that everything I see I think it should be a candle holder...hey, what can I say...I like candles!

That's a horrible story :( but, it makes me appreciate the photo SO much more... and you are right, they ARE adorable glasses... still a great score to have 3! :)

Oh!! So sorry about the broken glass...AND YES!! I have done something similar...except that it was with a set of 4 glasses and a pitcher that were my grandmothers...I was rearranging them inside the cabinet (you know so they could be shown off...better) and I shattered one of the glasses...Luckily about 2 years later...yes...good things are worth the wait(plus I think my grandmother always smiles down upon me!)...I found 1 glass identical to the one I had broken at an antique mall...I had a booth there at the time...the gal that had the glass ALWAYS had the best stuff...and when she found out I was going to buy the glass...and heard what happened she just gave it to me...I actually cried...it was such a sweet thoughtful thing for her to do...and now I had my "set" back...and to this day...I can't tell which glass is the replacement...so keep your eyes peeled and we'll all do the same...so hopefully one day you'll have a set of 4 again...until then...they are still just as precious w/3...
By the way..your post gives me an idea for a picture...thanks for jogging the ole memory!!

Blessings....

Adorable glasses. Hate that one was broken before you could enjoy them, but still nice to share with a "couple" of friends. Very unique and adorable. I will keep my eye out for one to match it. As kim said could use them for candles, or to hold condiments or such. Have a wonderful day

very cute little juice glasses! They remind me of the old cheese jars my MIL collects!

Sorry you broke one of your sweet little glasses, but 3 is good too!

I think your glasses are sooo cute. Don't worry about breaking one; stuff happens. Just think about the three you still have.

I once ordered a beautiful violets vintage apron. It is frilly and soo cute. I stupidly opened the envelope with scissors and made a small cut in the band. This was a mint vintage apron with tags. I immediately put it in my cedar chest and have never taken it out since. Think I'll take it out today!

Those are charming glasses and yes I've done something just as silly! I makes me so mad at myself when I do it. That's one of the reason's I don't sew much...one time in a sewing class I actually sewed my finger to a project I was trying to put a zipper in. Ouch!

I *heart* those glasses. Are they new or vintage? I could see why you would have to own them.

I thought about your break all day, even looked on ebay for more to tell you about, but not yet. I broke a little cream pitcher yesterday that was my gramma's. It was lovely, perfect, no chips, had little clover flowers all over it... and she had it for ages, my mother since her death in 1984... and I only since Mother's Day. That made me feel just horrid, just cranky and sad and frustrated all at once... I so understand how you felt... and the irony that you were taking their little pictures to show us!!! Wah!!!

Sorry to hear that one of your adorable glasses broke. I did that myself many times, and afterwards you just wanna kick yourself. But I agree with some of the other posts, if you wait patiently enough, you will find another one! Good luck with you search and I too love those glasses!!!

Oh I know exactly how you feel and it just happened to me about a week ago. I found these adorable vintage wine glasses at a thrift store and I just live around the corner so I told the man not to bother wrapping them in paper (I was in a hurry) so I sid, just stick them inside this vintage basket I had bought...one broke in the trunk and it was totally my fault for being in a hurry :( I know how just what you mean by "cranky". Ahhhh to know you are not alone though...priceless :)

I'm sorry, but reading that you had broke one of these glasses while taking a picture just made me laugh out loud. Not that I'm laughing at you! It was just funny, the way you wrote it.
The set of 3 glasses you have is quite lovely, however. I hope you enjoy them! (And when you're glaring at them, thinking about that broken one, remember that your post about it gave some of us a smile we wouldn't have gotten from just looking at a typical 4 set of glasses!).
