The Doors

I picked up these vintage cupboard doors for a song at the place that went out of business before they had the big blow-out sale. I think these doors are absolutely sweet with the vintage decals of Dutch children on them. I thought maybe I'd hang them on the wall as is. Any other ideas? I still need to clean them up a bit. They're painted a pretty blue on the back. I wish I could view the backs as well as the fronts.

Such a great find! What about using them as shutters on a window?

so cute!

How about getting glass cut to fit the panel and then adding some decorative table legs (or old stairway/porch spindles from a salvage yard) and keep them on your front porch or back patio?

Anita...
What precious doors...I just love them...they make me wonder...hmmmm...where were these used...who had them...and HOW come I never find these kinds of things!!!! LOL...I love that you got them for a song, too...I thought Sue's idea was great...shutters for a cute window treatment on the inside...for a playroom...or whatever...and the table idea was a good one, too...so many ideas...so little time...and not quite enough shutters...makes me want to find some!
Thanks for sharing...

Blessings...

I LOVE vintage decals. Your cupboard doors are really nice. I keep buying Dutch chalkware people. Several people have asked me if I am Dutch...Nope, they are just such quaint things...

If you had a long enough chain you could hang them between rooms from the ceiling, almost like a high room divider, then you could see both sides. I love doors that have decals such as this.
